The Lviv National Opera invites you to immerse yourself in a magical world where one of the most poetic plots of Ukrainian literature comes to life — — «The Forest Song» Lesya Ukrainka.
The ballet extravaganza "Mavka" to the music of the modern Ukrainian composer Viktoriya Poleva — is a new stage miracle from the creators of the super-successful ballet "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors". An international team of artists is working on the production: choreographer-director Artem Shoshyn (assistant — Tetyana Kuruoglu), libretto and director Vasyl Vovkun, set designer Arvydas Buinauskas (Lithuania), costume designer Natalia Mishchenko. At the conductor's console — maestro Volodymyr Sirenko.
The ballet “Mavka – is a tragic love story on the border of two worlds, a subtle psychological drama, enveloped in the natural beauty of nature. Fantastic music, exquisite choreography and visual magic of the production will immerse you in a world where myth and reality are intertwined.
