This evening of remembrance is intended as a lively, warm meeting, filled with personal memories, music and human presence. The initiator of the event, the conductor's daughter Oksana, seeks to show her father not only as a respected figure in choral art, but as a person - lively, multifaceted, sometimes funny, artistic, emotional and even fashionable in his own way. Through photographs and memories, an image of an artist who lived his whole life through music emerges.
Ms. Oksana deliberately avoids a cold, monumental form of tribute: this is an evening for those who remember Oleg Tsyhylyk as a person who made a significant contribution to the musical life of Lviv and Ukraine, for students and followers who feel gratitude, and for everyone who wants to preserve the memory of a loved one.
The most important thing — This is not just a mention of a specific figure, but an opportunity for each person present to mentally address their loved one, feel a connection and give them their respect, warmth and love. The Galician Chamber Choir and other famous Lviv choral groups will perform a program in memory of the outstanding Ukrainian choral conductor, teacher and long-time inspirer of Lviv's choral life. The concert will be held on the occasion of the anniversary of his passing and will be a tribute to the artist who dedicated his life to the development of Ukrainian choral art and the education of several generations of singers and conductors.
