About the show
Especially for the 2018 LvivMozArt Festival, the Chamber Orchestra «Con Fuoco» will present the «Austrian concert» including both well-known and mostly unknown works by famous composers of the Viennese music history.
Continuing the tradition of Johann Strauss, who on the concert trips to Europe presented a huge varied repertoire, the «Con Fuoco» has special relationships between Vienna and Lviv built on their common history. With pleasure, we present Olga Bezsmertna, a solo performer of Johann Strauss’ pieces (the Waltz ‘Voices of Spring’, fragments from the operetta ‘Die Fledermaus’). The concert also included the orchestral compositions by W. A. Mozart, Joseph Lanner (the «founder» of the Viennese waltz) and Franz von Suppé (who opened the operetta to the world after Jacques Offenbach in the 1840s). Join us and enjoy the spirit of Vienna!
