To celebrate Europe Day, the Philharmonic artists present a concert program that unites the musical traditions of various European peoples and emphasizes the commonality of the cultural space to which Ukraine belongs. On May evening, you will be able to immerse yourself in the nostalgia of hits from Italian, French, Hungarian, Polish and Ukrainian pop music - from the 90s to the present. This will be an evening full of love for music and people, life-affirming and full of human doubts - to empathize with these compositions, you do not need to understand the words, because music - a universal language, and the voice - a perfect instrument, which in tandem touches the deepest corners of our hearts. You can see this on May 7th in the performance of the masters of vocal art.
The repertoire of the evening will include such Ukrainian symbols as «Oh in the meadow the red viburnum», «We go further» from the repertoire of the legendary VIA «Smerichka», the immortal theme of love from the film “The Godfather”, music that you recognize from the first chords «Con te partiro», the French charm «Mademoiselle chante le blues» and «Derniere danse», the Spanish bolero «Historia de un amor», which composer Almaran dedicated to his brother who had lost his love, the rhythms of the Hungarian czardas «Nincs szebb, mint a szerelem» and the song in support of Ukraine, which was first performed in February 2014 – «Podaj rękę Ukraine».
