About the show
Once upon a time, a legend about happiness and brave tiger hunters appeared in the world. How exactly - no one remembers for sure. However, it is preserved and retold by a bizarre girl in a mask from the Japanese Noh theater.
Why she liked the legend with a Ukrainian soul - is a big mystery. All that is known is that the girl appears out of nowhere, begins the story with music - and tries not to miss a single detail of the story about engineer Grigory Mnohogrishny. True, the mask prevents her from pronouncing his last name clearly. And she is always embarrassed when she gets to the story about Natalka - wild and unbridled, like nature itself. It seems that this part of the story reminds her of something very personal.
Anyone who comes to listen to the story of a stranger may not immediately recognize "The Tiger Hunters". Because Onrio does not convey much in words. This is how she feels: the taiga, trains, escape, love and freedom sound through voices and strings. Authentic folk singing is intertwined here with music, and Japan - with the Ukrainian taiga of Ivan Bahryany.
