The opera «Mykyta the Fox» by the Ukrainian composer Ivan Nebesny was written specifically for the Lviv National Opera! The libretto was created by the director of the performance Vasyl Vovkun based on the famous fairy tale-poem by Ivan Franko.

We recommend the opera for family viewing, because behind the seemingly children's fairy tale and entertaining plot, there are acute and always relevant social issues. The opera "The Fox Nikita" has many surprises: from the sound itself (after all, in the orchestra, along with traditional instruments, the cymbals, bandura, lyre and trembita sound colorfully), to the scenography, bright costumes and animal masks, as well as modern 3D projection and light technologies.
